thomasbryerDr. Thomas Bryer is a leading expert on nonprofit management and civic engagement. Thomashas conducted numerous trainings and helped a variety of nonprofit organizations to better plan their work, set clearer objectives for and track progress of each project.

He is Director of the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management (CPNM) and Professor in the School of Public Administration at the University of Central Florida. He is widely published in the top journals on public administration and has won fifteen awards in the past eight years for his research, teaching, and service accomplishments. In 2015, the CPNM received a Champion of Service award from the State of Florida for its contributions and leadership promoting volunteerism.

Thomas is author or editor of three books, including National Service and Volunteerism: Achieving Impact in Our Communities (Lexington Books, 2015) and Higher Education beyond Job Creation: Universities, Citizenship, and Community (Lexington Books, 2014).
