TRAINING

WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?

This powerful two-day (12 hours) training will provide not-for-profit leaders and managers with interactive hands-on experience and expert-led training on multiple aspects of organizational, project, and human resource management in an NGO. There is a limited number of places available with the training aimed at a 10-12 participant group.

IS THIS FOR ME?

The training is designed for not-for-profit organization leaders and project managers to enable them to effectively carry out projects and programs on both micro and macro levels. The trainings is useful for learning to better manage short and long term projects of various complexity levels.

The training will be particularly useful for a small to mid-sized NGO with a mix of full time staff and volunteers running the daily operations. It is also helpful for an NGO that is running multiple projects, has a desire to become more efficient, and to grow but currently lacks the strategies to grow smartly.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

By the conclusion of the program, participants will understand and apply strategies for:

– Set objectives for each project, track progress, identify gaps, and make corrections to implementation
– Create time management and staff resource allocation plans to manage multiple projects successfully;
– Develop staff-volunteer teams that take advantage of individual strengths and mitigate weaknesses;
– Use own management and leadership strengths to motivate team members and resolve conflicts;
– Leverage funding to expand or develop new projects;
– Grow smart: developing new projects that are mission critical and of acceptable risk.

Training will draw heavily from case studies and will seek to build on your experiences. This is why the participants will be encouraged to prepare and discuss their own projects as examples, including both successes and failures.

Upon a successful completion of the programme, participants will receive the certificate of completion.
